In the 8th chapter of the bible, the land dries up so Noah and his family start a new beginning in a new world. God saved 8 souls (1 peter 3:20) from the flood.

“Noah”=48 (8×6) times in Old Testament…8-the number for new beginning…6 the number for man/the old man. The sinful nature of man.

“Noe”=8 times in New Testament. The New Testament is a new beginning.
Add the two number occurrences together….48+8=56 which is (8×7)…8 the number for new beginning/new man…7 the number for completion, perfection and holiness.

Genesis 8:14-18

15 And God spake unto Noah, saying,
16 Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
17 Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth.
18 And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him:

Verse 16 God is telling Noah to get out the ark and to multiply upon the earth which has to do with new life. In verse 18 Noah does what God says.

It’s interesting to note that verse 18 has 16 words and verse 16 has 18 words…

Genesis 9:13

“I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.”

“The word “rainbow” (קשת, qeshet) used in this verse sums to the Number 800 which also is the value of the Greek words “Lord” and “Faith.” It also is the value of the final letter of the Greek alphabet, Omega (cf. Eight and the Resurrection below). This is the essence of Faith – trusting in the Lord who will see us through to the very end, signified by Omega. This lifts us above our present state to behold our Shepherd who is Lord above all.”——–http://www.biblewheel.com//Wheel/Spokes/Chet_Eight.php

Revelation 1:8

8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

“new heaven” occurs exactly 4 times in the KJV

“new earth” occurs exactly 4 times in the KJV

……………………………….4+4=8

1st occurrence of “new heaven” and “new earth” is in Isaiah 65:17
Isaiah 65:17 leaves 8 verses till Isaiah 66

Isaiah 65:17 is also the 32nd-(8×4) verse from the last verse of Isaiah. 8-number for new beginnings….4-number for creation.

Isaiah 65:17-(1+7=8)

17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

The last chapter of Isaiah also mentions the “new heavens” and “new heaven” in Isaiah 66:22

Isaiah 66:22-(66+22=88)

22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain.

The transfiguring of Jesus happened about 8 days after prophesying.

“eight” is the 8th word in verse 28

Luke 9:27-29

27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.
28 And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.
29 And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

There are some that claim the bible contradicts itself on this topic because Matthew and Mark say “six days later” and Luke says about eight days later. Six days is about eight days so there’s definitely no contradiction. I like how the Apologetics press explains this….
“Matthew and Mark excluded the days of the two terminal events (the prophecy and the transfiguration), Luke included both days, as well as the six intermediate days, and thus mentioned that the two events were eight days apart. Even today, when people rehearse something they witnessed a few days earlier, they may refer to the events as happening on “different” days. For example, if a store was robbed on a Monday afternoon, and the following Monday morning a witness told friends what he had seen, he could say truthfully that he recalled the events six days or eight days after they occurred. If one were counting only full days, then six would be correct (i.e., Tuesday through Sunday). However, it also would be correct to speak of the events as occurring eight days earlier—if one were including both full and partial days (Monday through Monday). Whether one uses “six” or “eight” does not discredit his story. Likewise, the time difference between Matthew, Mark, and Luke in no way represents a legitimate Bible contradiction. Luke simply used the inclusive method of reckoning time, whereas Matthew and Mark counted only complete days .–(Coffman, 1971, p. 261) http://www.apologeticspress.org/apcontent.aspx?category=6&article=178

8th day

The first day or the new beginning of a week is also the 8th day in number sequence.

1st: Sunday, 2nd: Monday, 3rd: Tuesday, 4th: Wednesday, 5th: Thursday, 6th: Friday, 7th: Saturday, 8th: Sunday

The exact phrase “first day of the week” mentioned 8 times in KJV

Jesus rose from the dead on the 8th day of the week…

John 20:1

“The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the 51Wd8bRMVRL._SL1000_sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulcher.”

So the week ends on the 7th day and a new week is started on the 8th which is also the 1st day. This concept is continuous like the infinity symbol which is the number 8 flipped horizontally.

What all has happened on Nisan 17??…(1+7=8)

1 Nissan 17, Noah’s Ark safely rested on Mt. Ararat (Gen 8:4) *Note that the seventh month was later designated as the first month at the time of the Exodus (Ex. 12:2)
2 Nissan 17, Hebrews entered Egypt (Exo 12:40-41) 430 years before deliverance.
3 Nissan 17, Moses led the Israelites through the Parting of the Red Sea (Exo 3:18, 5:3)
4 Nissan 17, Israel entered and ate the first fruit of the Promised Land (Joshua 5:10-12)

6 Nissan 17, Queen Esther saved the Jews from Elimination (Esther 3:12, 5:1)
7 Nissan 17, The Resurrection of Messiah

All of these events have to do with being carried over into a new beginning or new life. Think about how rare it is for all these very significant events to end up all falling on the same day, thousands of years apart from each other.

Genesis 17:12

“And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man-child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed.”

In the old testament it was mandatory for the boys to be circumcised after 8 days of birth. This circumcision was symbolic of the covenant God has with his people and its symbolic for what would happen in the new testament. The old testament is law and fleshly. The law convicts of us of our sins and helps us realize we can’t save ourselves by the works we do in our flesh. The bible says we have to walk after the spirit, putting off the desires of the flesh. Circumcision is when a child’s flesh gets cut off which is symbolic for the old testament since it dealt with the physical flesh. In the new testament the circumcision is not of the flesh (because our flesh is dead) but its the circumcision of our soul and spirit from our flesh.

Colossians 2:10-11

10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Genesis 17:10-11

10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.
