The Locusts (2017)

Locusts come out of the ground every 17 years…

“locusts”
occurs 17 times in 16 verses in the KJV.

The first 5 mentions of ‘locusts’ are in Exodus and its about God sending locusts to cause destruction in Egypt during Pharaohs reign. The first mention is in Exodus 10:4 and it’s the 17th word of the verse…

Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast: — Exodus 10:4

Moses is the prophet God sends to Egypt…

Moses (4+6+1+5+1)= 17 (reduction) 71 (ordinal)

The last mention of ‘locusts’ in the Old Testament is Nahum 3:17…

Thy crowned are as the locusts, and thy captains as the great grasshoppers, which camp in the hedges in the cold day, but when the sun ariseth they flee away, and their place is not known where they are. — Nahum 3:17

Seventeen (19+5+22+5+14+20+5+5+14)= 109 (ordinal)

Bald Locust (2+1+12+4+0+12+15+3+21+19+20)= 109 (ordinal)

Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind. — Leviticus 11:22

If there be in the land famine, if there be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or if there be caterpiller; if their enemy besiege them in the land of their cities; whatsoever plague, whatsoever sickness there be; — 1 Kings 8:37

He gave also their increase unto the caterpiller, and their labour unto the locust.

Caterpillar (3+1+20+5+18+16+9+12+12+5+18)= 119

Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.— Deu 28:38

“for the locust shall consume it”(6+15+18+0+20+8+5+0+12+15+3+21+19+20+0+19+8+1+12+12+0+3+15+14+19+21+13+5+0+9+20)= 333 (ordinal) …3+3+3= 9

All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume. — Deu 28:42

Locusts come out of the ground…

Consume (3+15+14+19+21+13+5)= 90 (ordinal)

And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt. — Exodus 10:19

‘West wind’  (23+5+19+20+0+23+9+14+4)= 117 (ordinal)

Coasts of Egypt (3+15+1+19+20+19+0+15+6+0+5+7+25+16+20)= 171

The last 4 mentions of ‘locusts’ in the bible are Matthew 3:4, Mark 1:6, Revelation 9:3 and Revelation 9:7…

And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. — Revelation 9:3…9×3= 27

Power was given unto the locusts…

‘Power’ is the 17th word of Revelation 9:3

Power (16+15+23+5+18)= 77

Scorpions (1+3+6+9+7+9+6+5+1)= 47

John (10+15+8+14)= 47

John is the voice crying from the wilderness…

Wilderness (5+9+3+4+5+9+5+5+1+1)= 47

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias. — John 1:23

Locusts are called ‘swarming grashoppers’

Swarm (19+23+1+18+13)= 47

“scorpions”
occurs 9 times in 9 verses in the KJV.

“locust”
occurs 11 times in 9 verses in the KJV.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. — Luke 1:19

The first 5 mentions of ‘scorpions’ in the bible are about God chastising or punishing people with scorpions.

Chastising (3+8+1+19+20+9+19+9+14+7)= 109

Bald Locust (2+1+12+4+0+12+15+3+21+19+20)= 109 (ordinal)

Locusts (12+15+3+21+19+20+19)= 109 (ordinal)

Seventeen (19+5+22+5+14+20+5+5+14)= 109 (ordinal)

Locusts destroy crops…

Crops (3+18+15+16+19)= 71 (ordinal)

‘Chastise you with scorpions’ (3+8+1+1+2+9+1+5+0+7+6+3+0+5+9+2+8+0+1+3+6+9+7+9+6+5+1)= 117

The last mention of ‘Locusts’ in the old testament is Nahum 3:17 and the verse likens a crown to the locusts. In the last mention, a crown is also likened to the locust.

And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men.— Revelation 9:7
