FIVE (Bible Numerics) The Law, Our Works, Our Flesh and Grace

Bible Numerics is the study of numbers in light of the Bible. The mind of God is infinite just as there’s an infinite amount of numbers. By studying numbers within Gods eternal Word, we can clearly see how he uses numbers as a form of expression and symbols. Each number has multiple meanings that intertwine with one another. For example; It’s well known that SEVEN (7), holds the meaning of, “Holiness”, “Perfection”, and “Completion”. Each of these meanings have a difference, but they also make up one another. Holiness wouldn’t be holy if it wasn’t perfect. God is Holy so therefore He’s perfect. Perfection wouldn’t be perfect without also being complete. The Bible uses “perfection, and completion”  interchangeably, which further proves they depend on one another. The more I see these parallels, the more I’m reminded of how the mind of God is deep.

FIVE, is the first post of a series entitled “Bible Numerics Revisited”.  This series will include new research and information from the first Bible numerics series — https://truthseekerswebsite.com/2016/05/01/five-bible-numerics/

Psalm 12:6-7

6 The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

Isaiah 55:8-9

8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.

9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

The Law / Works / Our Flesh

Grace

The Law, Works, and Our Own Flesh are all dependent on one another. We must know the law to perform the works of the law, BUT knowing the law isn’t enough to do the works. Our own flesh takes us to the places where we do works. Our own flesh gives to the poor, goes to church, and prays. Our own flesh thinks of doing the work before we do it. Our own flesh does the physical work at our jobs. Everything about our works depends on our flesh. That’s the difference between Works and Grace. We’re saved by Grace through Faith, NOT OF YOURSELVES: it is the GIFT of God: NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast. – Ephesians 2:8-9. The purpose of the law is to point us to the Savior Jesus Christ because the Law condemns all and proves all to be in need of a Savior.

Galatians 3:21-25

21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:

9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,

10 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

11 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

12 Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.

13 Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:

14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

16 Honour thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

“Side-view of the human eye, viewed approximately 90° temporal, illustrating how the iris and pupil appear rotated towards the viewer due to the optical properties of the cornea and the aqueous humor.
The approximate field of view of an individual human eye (measured from the fixation point, i.e., the point at which one’s gaze is directed) varies by facial anatomy, but is typically 30° superior (up, limited by the brow), 45° nasal (limited by the nose), 70° inferior (down), and 100° temporal (towards the temple). For both eyes combined (binocular) visual field is 135° vertical and 200° horizontal. When viewed at large angles from the side, the iris and pupil may still be visible by the viewer, indicating the person has peripheral vision possible at that angle.

About 15° temporal and 1.5° below the horizontal is the blind spot created by the optic nerve nasally, which is roughly 7.5° high and 5.5° wide.” — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_eye
